I’m Marie, a Software Engineer who genuinely enjoys turning ideas into functional, thoughtful web experiences. I work with JavaScript, CSS, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB to build full-stack applications that are responsive and user focused. I am someone who finds satisfaction in figuring things out whether it’s fixing bugs, refining features, or learning something new along the way.

Before transitioning into Software Engineering, I built my foundation in web and graphic design. I worked on creating marketing materials, graphics, and infographics for various industries, such as Amazon, Target, Iron Mountain, BH Photo, and FedEx. That experience helped me refine my ability to manage tight deadlines, maintain high-quality standards under pressure, and produce work that not only meets but enhances the user experience. I later extended those skills to support startups, small businesses, and individuals, helping them develop their brand and online presence.

Beyond tech, I'm an artist and visual storyteller using my creative talents to uplift and empower local communities.

Horoscope Finder
This project is a simple and engaging web app that lets you enter your birthday to reveal your zodiac sign and a short horoscope. It works by calculating your sun sign based on where the sun was located at the time of your birth.

Pantone Color Finder
The project was created to experiment with color data APIs and give users an easy tool to identify color names, RGB values, and close Pantone matches based on the color they input. It’s a fun, light, and educational tool for designers, artists, or anyone interested in color theory.

Mood Color Picker
This project was designed to let users document and reflect on their emotions by pairing a selected color with a mood. Users can log how they feel, the color they associate with that emotion, and save that connection for personal insight or creative exploration. It’s a simple and expressive tool for self-awareness and emotional mapping.

Permanent Makeup & Lashes by Lynda
This project involved redesigning a permanent makeup artist’s Wix website by integrating custom features using Velo code base, refining the site’s layout and visual style, and developing content that clearly communicates services and expertise. The result is a more polished, user-friendly, and brand aligned online presence.
